en Dances was originally written for a choreography by Bianca van Dillen: De Trap (The Stair). The first performance of De Trap took place in the Frascati Theatre in Amsterdam on 24 April 1991, and was produced by the Stichting Dansproductie. The music was performed by the Asko Ensemble and soprano Claron McFadden played the role of a lonely female Pharaoh among the dancers. She chooses one of the dancers to go up the stairs.<br/><br/>L.A.<br/>
nl Dances is oorspronkelijk geschreven voor een choreografie van Bianca van Dillen: 'De trap'. Eén deel daaruit is komen te verval¬len. De eerste uitvoering van 'De trap' vond plaats in theater Frascati in Amsterdam op 24 april 1991 door Stichting Danspro¬ductie. De muziek werd uitgevoerd door het ASKO Ensemble en de sopraan Claron McFadden vertolkte temidden van de dansers de rol van een Egyptische pharao. Eén van de dansers wordt door haar uitverkoren 'de trap' op te stijgen.<br/><br/>L.A.
