en Bells for Haarlem (2002) was commissioned for the renovation of the concert building of Haarlem in the Netherlands. The rhythm of the piece arose in collaboration with a visual artist who was commissioned to devise a visual interpretation of the piece. The result consists of a graphic rendering of the rhythm in the glass walls of the restored building.<br/>The melodic motive of the piece is based on two famous bells in Haarlem. <br/>
