Duration: 8'<br/>For: recorder and tape-recorder<br/><br/>Sweet for recorders was given its premiere by Frans Brüggen in Amsterdam in 1964. It is a one-movement work. The first five minutes are characterised by a continuous crescendo, both in compass and tempo and also in dynamics, as far as it is possible on a recorder. Then this progression is abruptly stopped by a soft and motionless 'white' noise, produced by a tape recorder. After some time the player starts again but can only play repetitions of previous motives. The intensity slowly diminishes and the music dies away. LOUIS ANDRIESSEN<br/>
